We are a doacracy, where your status and your voice is determined by what you do to contribute to our success. We regularly review how each member participates, to adjust their membership level accordingly:
APPLICANTS: New members, who have not yet helped with preparation, setup, operation, teardown, packout, and cleanup. Your skills and history outside our community ARE valuable, and they will be reflected in your membership level when you demonstrate them HERE, in your participation with US. It IS possible to move from Applicant up the levels in a single year, but it means diving in HARD, to help with preparations already in full swing by March.
VISITORS: Members who play a minimal role in preparation, setup, operation, teardown, packout, and cleanup. There is nothing wrong with just visiting our community from time to time. You can achieve higher levels and reduced dues by participating in the essential activities that make everything possible.
RESIDENTS: Members who are active in all their shifts at our events, but play a minimal role in preparation, setup, teardown, packout, and cleanup. This is your first step towards actively creating the experiences that we all love to share.
KREWE: Members who not only show up for their shifts, but are also active in preparation, setup, teardown, packout, and cleanup, and whenever other members need help. These are the core members of our community, who have actually taken some responsibility for all the thankless work it takes to create these amazing experiences.
FELLOWS: Members who are active in preparation, setup, teardown, packout, cleanup, and whatever else needs to be done for our community to succeed, year round. These are the members who truly make it all possible, by being responsible for what nobody else is willing to be responsible for.
